We believe therapy should feel clear and supportive from the very beginning — including the practical details. Below, you’ll find information about fees, insurance, confidentiality, cancellations, and what to expect before getting started.

Our session fees vary depending on the therapist and service type. To view a therapist’s individual rate, please visit their bio on our team page.

Insurance Coverage & Receipts

We do offer direct billing with select insurance providers. If your plan is with a provider we are able to bill directly, we will submit the claim on your behalf after each session. However, please note that not all insurance companies are eligible for direct billing through our service. If direct billing is not available for your provider, you will receive a detailed receipt after each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Coverage and direct billing eligibility vary by plan and provider, so we recommend checking with your insurance company before your first appointment to confirm whether your policy covers services provided by a Registered Social Worker (MSW) or Registered Psychotherapist, and whether direct billing is supported.

Confirming your coverage and billing options in advance can help the process feel more straightforward and allow you to focus fully on your sessions.

Your Privacy Matters

 We take confidentiality seriously. Our practice follows Ontario privacy requirements and the ethical standards of our governing colleges. Client information is stored using a secure electronic health record system through Jane, with encrypted data storage in Canada.

As with any therapy practice, there are limits to confidentiality in situations involving safety and certain legal or professional obligations, and those details are reviewed through informed consent.

Our Cancellation Policy

 We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Changes made with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged at the full session fee. Appointments can be cancelled through your Jane account, by phone, or by email.

Where Session Take Place

 We offer in-person therapy in Toronto and virtual therapy across Ontario and British Colombia, giving you the option to choose the format that fits your life, schedule, and comfort level best.
