We believe therapy should feel clear and supportive from the very beginning — including the practical details. Below, you’ll find information about fees, insurance, confidentiality, cancellations, and what to expect before getting started.

Insurance & reimbursement

Insurance Coverage & Receipts

We do not offer direct billing. After each session, you will receive a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend checking with your provider before your first appointment to confirm whether your policy includes services with a Registered Social Worker, MSW, or Registered Psychotherapist.

Knowing your coverage in advance can make the process feel simpler and more settled.

Confidentiality

Your Privacy Matters

 We take confidentiality seriously. Our practice follows Ontario privacy requirements and the ethical standards of our governing colleges. Client information is stored using a secure electronic health record system through Jane, with encrypted data storage in Canada.

As with any therapy practice, there are limits to confidentiality in situations involving safety and certain legal or professional obligations, and those details are reviewed through informed consent.

Cancellation policy

Our Cancellation Policy

 We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Changes made with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged at the full session fee. Appointments can be cancelled through your Jane account, by phone, or by email.

In-person and virtual care

Where Session Take Place

 We offer in-person therapy in Toronto and virtual therapy across Ontario and British Colombia, giving you the option to choose the format that fits your life, schedule, and comfort level best.
