Armin Ovaisy-Moakhar
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I work with adults and couples who feel stuck in anxiety, chronic self-criticism, emotional shutdown, or compulsive coping patterns. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside, yet internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure why traditional talk therapy hasn’t fully helped.
My work focuses on understanding what your nervous system is responding to, not just what you think or feel. Using a trauma-informed, attachment-based, and relational approach, we explore how early experiences, relationships, and unresolved stress shape your emotional and physiological responses today.
I specialize in evidence-based trauma therapy, integrating EMDR, Brainspotting, parts-based approaches (IFS, Ego State Therapy, and structural dissociation–informed work), somatic and nervous-system-informed interventions, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. Rather than pushing for insight alone, our work prioritizes safety, regulation, and attuned connection creating the conditions needed for lasting change.
Together, we work to calm the nervous system, build emotional resilience, and shift long-standing patterns that no longer serve you, so you can feel more grounded, connected, and confident in yourself and your relationships.
I offer therapy in both English and Farsi, and welcome clients seeking culturally attuned care.
If you’re ready to move beyond managing symptoms and want to understand and heal the deeper roots of your distress, you’re welcome to book a session.
